West Calhoun is part of the Calhoun Isles community of Minneapolis. The neighborhood is bordered by France Avenue, Lake Street, Lake Calhoun and 36th Street. The area has an active business and services community that includes doctors, dentists, convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, cafes and more. The Grand Rounds Scenic Byway borders the Lake Calhoun and connects with the Midtown Greenway, in addition to other trails. The Minikahda Club, the oldest country club in Minneapolis, occupies much of the western and southern area of West Calhoun.
