In the Northeast Community of Minneapolis is the neighborhood known as Beltrami. Its borders are Broadway Street NE, Interstate 35 West, Hennepin Avenue East, and Central Avenue NE and Harrison Avenue NE. Beltrami is a unique community within Minneapolis. Large tracts of industrial land cover the southwestern portion, while most of the land is residential. The green space known as Beltrami Park has a playground, soccer and softball fields, bocce courts, a sand volleyball court, tennis courts, and a basketball court. As with other neighborhoods in northeast Minneapolis, many artists have set up studios here.
